My advice

What the numbers don't say about Koh Phi Phi

Phi Phi has no official weather station, so I use the figures of Koh Lanta, 30 km away, which has the same climate. From December to March the sea is calm and boat trips run every day. From May to October speedboats are sometimes cancelled by the swell, so allow a spare day before your flight home. Maya Bay also closes every year for a few weeks around August and September to let the reef recover: check the national park announcements.
