Our verdict for June
June works well if you accept the green season and plan around it. Samui, Phangan and Tao are generally dry and sunny, so they make a natural base for beach time. Bangkok and the north are lush, with afternoon storms but plenty of usable hours. The Andaman coast is rainy and the sea often rough, so beaches there are less appealing and some boat trips do not run.
