Who is behind the site

Thailand Voyager is an independent project run by Kylian Dev, built by travellers who know Thailand, for people planning a trip there. No tourism board, hotel group or tour operator owns or directs the site.

How we research

Each guide combines on-the-ground experience with official and primary sources: Thai government and embassy pages for entry rules, the Thai Meteorological Department and long-term climate normals for weather, operators' own pages for ferries and trains.

Prices are given as ranges and tiers, never as precise quotes, because they move with season and exchange rates.

What we will never do

Invent a price, a rating, a review or a statistic.

Accept payment to include, rank or praise a place.

Present an advertisement as editorial content.

How the site is funded

The site is free to read. It is funded by affiliate links: when you book a hotel, a ferry, a tour, insurance or a service through one of these links, the partner pays us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.

Our partners today: 12Go (ferries, buses, trains), Trip.com (hotels and domestic flights), GetYourGuide (tours and activities), a travel insurer for your market, Wise or Revolut (bank cards) and Airalo (eSIM). Some programmes are still being set up.

Every partner link or box is marked "Partner", and the links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute so search engines treat them as such.

Recommendations come first: we choose places, routes and tools on their merits and would write the same guide without commissions. No partner pays to be mentioned, ranked or reviewed, and we never link to activities that go against our guides, such as elephant riding or shows.

Updates and corrections

Pages are reviewed regularly, especially before the high season (November to March) and when entry rules change.

We use photos that match what the text describes (a dish shows that dish, a beach shows that beach), mostly from Wikimedia Commons with full credits.
