In short

  • Diwali Festival of Lights: 13–15 November 2026, Central Pattaya Beach
  • Beach volleyball tournament and Chonburi Coffee on the Beach on the same dates
  • City coordinating security, traffic, medical cover, toilets and waste

What to do

  1. 1Book accommodation near Beach Road early for 13–15 November.
  2. 2Allow extra time on beachfront roads that weekend.
  3. 3Confirm timings and any road closures with Pattaya City or the TAT.

What is on, and where?

The Diwali Festival of Lights is planned for 13–15 November 2026 on Central Pattaya Beach, the Bangkok Post reports, with Pattaya City coordinating preparations alongside the Pattaya Thai-Indian Business Association. The city lists the site, power supply, security, traffic management, medical teams and ambulances, toilets, waste collection and sound systems among the points being prepared. Two other events share the beachfront: a beach volleyball competition run by the Volleyball Association of Thailand in front of the Central Pattaya shopping mall, and Chonburi Coffee on the Beach opposite the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.

What changes for travellers?

Entry rules do not change: visa and arrival requirements are unaffected. The beach stays open, but parts of Central Pattaya Beach are allocated to the three events for sales booths, equipment and decorations, and the city says it wants to keep access open for residents and visitors. Expect busier beachfront roads and less free sand in the middle section. For the journey from the capital see Bangkok to Pattaya; for the season, when to go; for the rest of your stay, things to do.
