What has changed?
Air India Express has started flying non-stop between Kochi, in the southern Indian state of Kerala, and Bangkok. According to the airline, the first rotation operated on 25 October 2026, and the service runs four times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The route sits inside Air India Express's Winter Schedule 2026, a six-month timetable that covers its winter services. For travellers it means Kerala and the Thai capital are now linked without a stop in another Indian or Gulf city.
Who is the route useful for?
Two groups benefit most. The first is travellers building a single trip around southern India and Thailand, who can now fly that leg non-stop on four days a week. The second is people living in Kerala or nearby who go to Bangkok for holidays, work or family visits and would otherwise have needed a connection.
The service is not daily. If your dates fall on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, you will need another airline or a connection. The four operating days say nothing about departure times either, so check the airline's timetable before you fix an onward flight, a train or a hotel booking.
What changes on arrival in Bangkok?
Nothing changes on the Thai side. No visa, entry, immigration or airport rule is affected by the new route; the TDAC arrival card and existing entry conditions apply exactly as before.
For the transfer into the city, our Suvarnabhumi Airport guide covers the Airport Rail Link, taxi options and road times. On a first trip, the first trip guide sets out the first hours in Bangkok and the mistakes worth avoiding.

FAQ
Questions
Does the Kochi–Bangkok flight operate every day?
No. Air India Express schedules it four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. A Monday, Wednesday or Friday departure needs another carrier or a connection.
Does the new route change visa or entry rules for Thailand?
No. No visa, entry or immigration rule changes with this service. The documents you needed before remain the ones to carry.
Where do I find times, terminals and fares?
Only in Air India Express's own booking channels, which confirm the schedule and the airport used. Treat third-party summaries as a starting point, not a confirmation.
